Principal Dentist
Dr Ammar Salman (GDC:239068)
Ammar graduated from the University of Baghdad in 2002 and relocated to the UK, where he successfully completed the ORE exam in 2012. Following this, he undertook a year of vocational training to further enhance his skills. Specializing in cosmetic dentistry, Ammar completed a prestigious Tipton training course, bringing a wealth of knowledge and expertise to Opal Dental. With 22 years of experience, Ammar is committed to providing top-notch dental care.
In 2022, Ammar moved to Cardiff to start a new journey as a principal dentist at Opal Dental, aiming to expand the services offered to meet the diverse needs of patients.
Outside of work, Ammar is a passionate football enthusiast and a big Liverpool fan. He also enjoys traveling, exploring new places, and experiencing different cultures. His dedication to both his profession and personal interests makes him a dynamic and valued member of our team.
Principal Dentist
Dr Ban Jafer (GDC:239967)
Ban graduated from the University of Baghdad in 2002 and, like Ammar, relocated to the UK, completing the ORE exam in 2012 followed by a year of vocational training. With a keen interest in cosmetic dentistry and facial aesthetics, Ban continually seeks to expand her skills in these areas. With 22 years of professional experience, Ban is dedicated to providing exceptional dental care tailored to the needs of her patients.
In 2022, Ban moved to Cardiff to embark on a new chapter as a principal dentist at Opal Dental, focusing on expanding the range of services to better meet patient needs.
Outside of work, Ban manages a busy life with her two energetic children. She enjoys reading, swimming, and cooking, finding balance and joy in both her professional and personal life. Her commitment to excellence and patient care makes her a vital part of our practice.
Associate Dentist
Dr Rachael Currie (GDC:83720)
Rachael graduated from the University of Wales College of Medicine in 2004 with a BDS degree. Following her vocational training, she focused on general practice, with a particular interest in NHS treatments. Rachael has been a valued member of our practice since 2009, bringing years of expertise and dedication to our team.
In response to the growing demand for facial aesthetics, Rachael earned a qualification in 2020 to administer Botox treatments, enhancing her ability to provide comprehensive care for her patients.
Outside of work, Rachael is kept busy by her two boys, but she also enjoys running, traveling, and socializing with friends. Her diverse interests and commitment to both her professional and personal life make her a well-rounded and integral part of our practice.
