Opal Dental Practice is run by A&B Dent Ltd (company number 11012186), 97 Cathedral Road, Pontcanna, Cardiff, CF11 9PG. We are responsible, as the data controller, for personal information collected through this website. You can contact us on 029 2038 8036 or at info@opaldentalpractice.co.uk.

What this website collects

This website has no forms, accounts or cookies, and it doesn’t ask you for any personal information. Like any website, the company that hosts it keeps short-term technical logs (such as IP addresses and the pages requested) to keep it secure and working.

To see which pages are useful, we use Vercel Web Analytics, provided by the company that hosts this website. It counts visits anonymously, without cookies and without storing anything on your device. It records the page viewed, the website you came from, an approximate location (such as the country and town) and the type of device and browser. To tell one visit from another within a day it uses a code made from your connection, which is discarded after 24 hours. It isn’t used to identify you or to follow you across other websites, and we only see combined totals.

The patient reviews shown here are collected by our own server from Working Feedback, so reading them doesn’t share anything about you with Working Feedback.

When you contact us

If you telephone or email us, we use what you tell us to reply and to arrange any appointments. We do this because we have a legitimate interest in answering you and, where it concerns your care, to provide you with health care. Please don’t send detailed medical information by email.

We keep an enquiry only as long as we need it to deal with it. If you become a patient, it becomes part of your dental record, which we keep for the periods set by NHS and professional guidance. We don’t sell personal information or use it for marketing. It is shared only with the companies that provide our email, IT and website services, and only so that they can run those services for us.

Other services we link to

Links to our booking portal, to Working Feedback for patient reviews and to Google Maps for directions take you to services run by other organisations, which have their own privacy policies. See our cookies page for more.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have rights over your personal information, including the right to see what we hold about you, to ask us to correct it, and in some cases to ask us to delete it or stop using it. To make a request, contact us using the details above; we will reply within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us, and you can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
